Small longbow quiver9/1/2023 ![]() The Pulley bow has the highest damage at plus 10 with Albinauric slightly behind at 25. In case anyone's interested, I tested these at plus 9/24 (depending on somber or regular upgrade requirements) and a few at 10/25. ![]() Two clusters of serpent arrows from the AoW were enough to quickly kill it, I'd be interested if anyone knows why status arrows proc in the first place when it's at this much reduced rate and total effect. After I got to and rested at the second grace I was curious, this time I used a shortbow with the rain of arrows AoW again with both reach and sting talismans and much closer to the envoy. These envoys don't have a silly resistance to both poison types either. I went through all 99 serpent arrows and 37 poisonbone arrows to kill it. I tried the same thing on one of the biggest envoys just before the second grace at the top of the Haligtree like the dragonkin soldier it was out of the pulley bow's range but with both sting and reach talismans I thought serpent arrows would work the same way on this enemy, they didn't and it's how I know arrows that proc status do so at a reduced rate if shot from too far outside the bow's effective range. It will start walking away now and again but comes right back when the next arrow hits, thankfully it doesn't do that thing some bosses will, vanishing back to its original spot when it gets too far from its station making it an easy kill. The trick is to find the furthest platform where you can still see and hit the boss with your bow, you'll know you have the right spot and found your range when you see it flinch when each serpent arrow hits, once you land enough hits the poison procs and you'll see the boss's health bar at the bottom of the screen that's the time to sprint straight for the rock outcrop you use to jump out of the lake and get to the entrance of the grand cloister and the dragonkin will follow you to that outcrop but at its highest point it wont be able to get anywhere near you while you shoot it full of arrows. The idea is to fight it from these platforms and good luck to you if your plan is trying to kill it as intended. But as you get closer to the grand cloister you can just make out where the dragon soldier is from some of the small stone platforms you raise out of the lake. You have to make your way from pressure plate to pressure plate sprinting through the lake of rot dressed as a mushroom, past the basilisks that will try to have their way with you all while trying to not let the status bar fill with scarlet rot. I had both arrow's sting and reach talismans equipped and I used the black bow with serpent arrows. I first noticed this with the dragonkin soldier at the lake of rot, I didn't once consider fighting that thing ankle deep in rot water but I wanted the sword it drops. Serpent arrows and maybe poisonbone, bleed or rot arrows will still proc their status effects though, but it seems to be at a reduced rate so I don't understand the reason why or how they would proc at all. If you use manual aim to target an enemy far outside the bow's range the arrows wont do any damage when they hit, you'll see it clearly with fire arrows. Some might find this interesting and mildly useful.

Breeze airline wiki9/1/2023 ![]() The pilots really enjoy flying it as well. That airplane has big windows, big bins, LED lighting and it’s quiet. We have seen great fuel-burn performance, and our guests and team members really love it, too. That’s a higher utilization for our most efficient airplanes. That’s the type of routing a typical A220 would do on a given day. Typically, the airplane would have an additional segment in its day-so think of it as starting in Hartford and going to a place like Pittsburgh or Cincinnati, and then continuing on to a place like San Francisco and then back. We’re using the A220s for a lot of cross-country flying. We have 10 A220s and 15 Embraer E-Jets and are getting good performance out of them. The inflationary pressures are more about us as a management team making sure that we can properly manage the business-so: what is it going to cost us to buy spare parts, for example? We are focused on managing costs, but I don’t see it impacting demand a lot-at least we’re not seeing any indications of that. I don’t see inflationary pressures having a significant impact on leisure demand, which is what we mostly serve. We’ve got comfortable airplanes providing nonstop service at nice fares.Īre you concerned about inflationary pressures and a potential market slowdown? We also provide first-class seats on the Airbus A220-and we have a section within the economy cabin that has more legroom. For the overwhelming majority of our markets today, we are the only airline that flies nonstop between those two cities. We’re unique, even compared to some of the other low-cost and ultra-low-cost carriers because they are focused on those large cities they fly large, dense airplanes and are competing directly with others. It’s an opportunity that has been moving toward us and I think will continue to move toward Breeze. We are flying nonstop to places where people want to go, such as Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville in Florida Savannah, Georgia Charleston, South Carolina Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Unless you wanted to go to that hub, you had to connect in that busy airport, which took time. What they primarily had been flying into those airports were 50- and 70-ish-seat airplanes, in and out of a hub, two to four flights a day. That’s a great thing for us because it opens up opportunity. We’ve seen the larger carriers continue to reduce the capacity they have allocated to smaller and midsize airports while they focus on the larger ones. What’s your outlook for the North American low-cost carrier and ultra-low-cost carrier market, especially if JetBlue Airways’ acquisition of Spirit Airlines goes through? Because an overloaded Express 1500 will get worse MPG than an Express 3500 working comfortably within it’s GVWR. But the variance is only a few MPG.Īnd this of course depends on how you use the van. ![]() The fuel economy generally gets worse with each increasing model. Any marginal difference in fuel economy, repair costs, and longevity can be obliterated by poor ownership. That is, multiple sources confirm roughly the same information.īut one huge piece of advice that I hear echoed over and over from fleet owners and mechanics is this: How you treat your van is much more important than which one you have. So I’ve done my best to summarize the things that are generally accepted as true. And obviously that method is subject to error. And lastly, you have just regular people on forums and blogs providing their own anecdotal “evidence” to support their claims. The second common shorthand way to classify vans is by referring to their payload in terms of tons who either regurgitate the manufacturers claims, or try (and possibly fail) to make predictions about real-world MPG, Cost of Ownership, etc. ![]() The Express 1500 is under that threshold, so it’s considered light-duty. The Chevy Express 25 are both considered heavy-duty vehicles because they have a GVWR over 8500lbs. They classify Light-Duty as any vehicle with up to 8500lbs GVWR or up to 4000lbs payload. The first is how the government classifies vehicles (for fuel efficiency). ![]() There are two main classifications that help group similar vehicles. The number in the name of each van (Chevy Express 1500, 2500, 3500) indicates their increasing payload (how much weight it can haul). You subtract GVWR – Curb Weight = Payload. Payload – How much weight in cargo and/or passengers a vehicle can carry. GVWR – Stands for Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, and it’s the maximum weight that a vehicle can reach including passengers, cargo, gasoline, fluids. Terms To KnowĬurb Weight – How much a vehicle weighs without passengers or cargo. But after the discontinuation of the 1500’s, AWD is no longer available. So if you’re familiar with Chevy Trucks, the Chevy Express vans have a similar relationship as the Chevy 1500, 2500, and 3500 Trucks.Ģ014 was the last year of production for the “light-duty” Express 1500 and Savana 1500.Īnd General Motors made some All-Wheel-Drive models of the Express 1500 and Savana 1500. But beginning with the Express and Savana, they switched to a body-on-frame design that’s borrowed from their trucks. They replaced the Chevrolet Van and GMC Vandura which were based on a unibody design. The Chevy Express and GMC Savana are General Motors’ full-size vans that have been in production since 1995. bigger engines, more robust suspension/brakes/ and other parts). And it means the vans are built with different parts to accommodate more weight (i.e. In easy to understand terms, the higher the number, the more heavy-duty the van is and the more weight it can haul. So you can roughly apply the same explanation to Ford E-series vans and Dodge Ram Vans 1500, 2500, 3500) The Basic Difference (And if you are curious, the other American vans have a similar relationship. I will explain the difference between these common Chevy and GMC Vans, and why you might choose one over another. They are both made by General Motors, so everything I mention in this post applies to both lines of vehicles. Are you curious what the difference is between the various types of Chevrolet Express Vans? What exactly is the difference between Chevy 1500, 2500, and 3500? And note that the GMC Savana van is mechanically identical to the Chevy Express. The crispy buttery crust and creamy cheesecake filling are the perfect base for any type of fruit. Our Mini Fruit Tart Recipe is a delicious, healthy dessert idea that is perfect for entertaining. I used summer’s sweet, juicy berries to top this tart, but peaches would also be delicious. While the crust is still hot, use a spoon to press the crust back up the sides a bit before it cools completely. When the crust first comes out of the oven, you may notice that it has sunk down from the edges a bit, especially if you don’t use pie weights. The sticky, buttery crust has a sugar cookie consistency once baked and is the perfect partner to the creamy cheesecake filling and juicy berries on top. It’s a very sticky crust and you’ll probably wonder if you’re doing it right, but trust me, you are! The crust that I used is similar to a sugar cookie, and I highly recommend using pie weights when you bake it. And as a bonus, the filling uses just three ingredients! I’m including a recipe for the tart shell used here, but if you’re in a bind you can easily use pre-made pie crust and press it into the tart pan. While you do have to bake the crust for this cheesecake fruit tart, the filling just sets up in the refrigerator. No fluted edges or fancy latticework on a tart, thankfully the tart pan does all the work and you get perfect edges every time. Tarts seem like an easier way to enjoy a similar dessert. No matter what I try, it’s never perfect. While I enjoy eating them, I do not enjoy making them, especially the pie crust. I have mentioned on the blog before that pies are my nemesis. You can fill a tart shell with chocolate, pudding, or a creamy cheesecake filling topped with berries like I did here. Ever since I got a tart pan for Christmas this past year, I’ve been very into tart recipes of all types. I don’t know what it is about tarts, but I can’t get enough of them. New materials increased hoop strength, adding to the rod’s ability to resist twisting and deflecting, as well as increasing the rod’s overall strength and lifting power. They used the data to insure the blank would track truer and recover quicker than any rod before, creating the most accurate fly rod possible. With their new methods and new equipment, Orvis tested each section of the blank, measuring the deflections with newly developed software, which translates the data to graphs for comparison and analysis. These deflections wreak havoc on accuracy, as well as robbing the angler of distance. ![]() With each false cast, oscillations are introduced, which deflect the rod away from a straight line path. They wanted the Helios 3 to be the best rod to ever come out of their rod shop, and they wanted to be able to prove it. Developing new software and testing methods never used in the fly fishing industry, Orvis quantified blank performance in a new and precise way. New tapers and materials were rolled into the blanks, but it’s what they did with those new blanks that makes the biggest difference in the performance of the H3. It was not a redesign but a ground up rebuild. Orvis took on replacing the Helios 2 with an aggressive approach. While most premium fly rods push high line speeds and long casts, Orvis wanted to develop the most accurate fly rod on the planet. The idea behind the H3 design is evident. Orvis has set the H3 apart from the crowd and we haven’t yet begun to speak on its performance, which is something to be excited about. Just about every rod is green, black, blue, or brown-ish without much else to set them apart, aside from their finish and craftsmanship, which can only be seen when in hand. Standing out in a crowd of fly rods can be tough. It demands your attention and it is far from traditional. Well let me tell you… No doubt, there are those that will hate that label. Lets go ahead and deal with the elephant in the room…. Of course, the rod comes with a rod sock and a white aluminum rod tube that resembles the rod’s eye-catching branding. I’d like to see some sort of a hook keeper (mainly on the heavier rods… think streamers), but it’s certainly not a deal breaker. The blank is laser-straight with REC recoil snake guides and SiC/titanium stripping guides. factory where the new Mirage reels are manufactured, and finished with a graphite insert. (Thank you Orvis!) The reel seat is machined in the same U.S. Aside from the matte black finish on the “3D”, the comfortable modified full wells grip was carried over from the H2 Covert. The “3D” rods wear matte black, while the “3F” sports a stealthy grey. The hardware and aesthetics are pretty much the same for each rod with the blank color and accent colors being the only difference. Departing from their traditional “tip flex” and “mid flex” monikers, the new Helios is available in “3D” (distance) and “3F” (feel). ![]() The H3 comes in two different flex families. Replacing the H2 was a task that Orvis did not take lightly. The H2 was one of the best rods on the planet, with the one-piece models being some of the best rods I’ve ever thrown. Developed with new materials, actions, and tapers, the H3 certainly has some big shoes to fill. At the head of the pack was the Orvis Helios 3. ![]() Just about every major fly rod manufacturer was brandishing their newest, tech-packed stick. That said though, this is still a entertaining series. Some of the more prominent characters (Nakasugi Sayaka and Satyajit Shyamalan for example), could have received a great deal more development than the show provided, especially in the case of Shyamalan. The downside though, is that a number of the other characters aren't developed well (or at all in some cases). There is a definite chemistry between the two characters that was never really developed in the OVA, and the conversations between the two are often lively. The relationship between Birdy and Tsutomu works surprisingly well however, especially during the time they share one body. Tsutomu, on the other hand, is more of a typical high school boy of the type that appear in many anime. The nice part about giving Birdy a 'secret identity' is that it allows more of her playful personality to come to the fore. During her time on Earth she moonlights as an up-and-coming idol named Arita Shion. I have to admit that I much prefer the track used for the ED though, as it seems more in keeping with the slightly whimsical nature of the show.īirdy is actually a pretty good character on the whole. The OP is a pretty good J-rock track by Hearts Grow, entitled Sora. The sound effects used throughout the show are generally very good, although some of the effects can be a little odd in their usage. Sound is another big plus for this series, and is definitely better than that of the OVA. The various fights and chases are extremely fluid and surprisingly detailed. A-1 pictures have done some excellent work animating the show, and nowhere is this more noticeable than in the various action sequences. The backgrounds are often very well done, and the CG sequences are very smooth, especially during the sequences in space. The character designs are very much in keeping with both manga, however the level of detail in the designs is superior than that of the OVA. The most noticeable thing about this series is the quality of the artwork and the animation. Indeed, there are to many occasions in the new series that can only be described as 'filler' moments (thankfully though, there's no real filler episodes). The new series, whilst giving more information, is also guilty of not using the extra time in the series to drive the story forward. The OVA had a much tighter story, and the pacing was far better because of the time constraints. The new series, whilst being more in depth, also tends to drag its heels with regards to the plot. The story for both the original OVA and the new series generally follows the same path. The new series, Birdy the Mighty II, began serialisation in Weekly Young Sunday magazine in 2003. It wasn't until a few years later that Yuuki went back to the original Tetsuwan Birdy series, and instead of continuing with the series from the time it was abandoned, he decided to do a complete revision of the series from scratch. The original manga was received rather well though, which led to it's adaptation as a four part OVA. ![]() However, Yuuki's work on Kyuukyoku Chojin R (The Ultimate Esper 'R'), for the same magazine eventually led to the manga The original Tetsuwan Birdy manga was created by Yuuki Masami (who is more well known for his Mobile Police Patlabor series), and ran in Shounen Sunday Super magazine. When I heard that the show was being remade into a 13 part TV series, it goes without saying that I was looking forward to it. I watched the original OVA back in 1997, and I loved the show for it's surrealistic sci-fi premise. ![]() I will freely admit that I'm a fan of the original Birdy the Mighty.
